Memcached in Website Hosting
Memcached is available as an upgrade with each website hosting package that we’re offering and in case you want to use it for any script-based website that you host on our cutting-edge cloud web hosting platform, you will be able to activate it in a few easy steps through your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. During the process, you’ll get the option to upgrade two different features – the number of instances and the memory. The first one refers to the number of the Internet sites that can use the Memcached content caching system simultaneously, so if you need it for several Internet sites, you can get a number of instances. The second one has to do with the total amount of memory that the system will be permitted to use to cache data, so for a lot of websites (or for one traffic-heavy site), you may want to get more memory for improved performance. The memory comes in increments of 16 megabytes and more memory can be ordered at any time. With Memcached, each script-based website hosted on our servers will open blazing-fast.
Memcached in Semi-dedicated Servers
When you obtain any of our semi-dedicated server packages, you will find Memcached as an optional feature in the Upgrades section of your Hepsia Control Panel, so if you wish to use it for any of the Internet sites hosted in the semi-dedicated account, you can enable it with only a couple of mouse clicks. The distributed memory caching platform is ideal for any script-driven app such as Joomla™, WordPress, or even an in-house built app, and based on your demands, you’ll be able to choose two different things – how many websites will use the Memcached platform, i.e. the number of instances; and how much content will be cached, i.e. the amount of system memory that the platform will use. The two features are not bound to each other, so if you manage a traffic-intensive site with lots of content, you can get one instance and a large amount of memory. Memcached will improve the overall performance of your Internet sites soon after you activate it and both you and your site visitors will enjoy faster load speeds.
Memcached in VPS Servers
You’ll get Memcached with each of the VPS server packages that we are offering in case you select Hepsia as your hosting Control Panel and you’ll be able to activate the data caching platform via the section with the same name. The setup takes a couple of clicks of the mouse and you’ll notice the difference in the performance of your sites almost immediately. The amount of system memory that the Memcached caching platform can take advantage of to cache content depends on the given Virtual Private Server plan that you have chosen, but in any case it will be at least several hundred MB, which is quite enough even for multiple content-loaded sites. You can use Memcached with websites based on WordPress, Joomla™ or any other web-based app and reduce the load on your server, which will enable you to keep using the current Virtual Private Server plan instead of switching to a more powerful one, since you will simply not need it. The Memcached platform is already being used by popular websites like Reddit, Zynga and Wikipedia, which shows its efficiency.
Memcached in Dedicated Servers
Memcached is available free of charge with all dedicated servers offered by us and the sole requirement is that the dedicated server must be ordered with the Hepsia Control Panel. You can use the distributed memory caching system for any database-powered Internet site, including those based on famous software apps – for instance, a WordPress personal journal or a Joomla™-driven social network. Each dedicated machine is tied to a given amount of memory that the Memcached system can use, but the minimum you will get is 3 gigabytes, which is sufficient enough to accelerate the speed of extremely heavy websites seriously, since this very memory will be dedicated to storing the cached information. The system will begin caching information the moment it’s activated, so shortly after that, you’ll notice the improved performance of your sites and the decreased load on your dedicated server. Lots of Internet sites use Memcached to improve their efficiency, among them famous ones like Wikipedia and Reddit.
